Genesis Networks Offers Fiber-Sat Trans

by TVB Staff | May 16, 2008
Genesis Networks, a global video transmission provider based in New York, rolled out a hybrid satellite-fiber service aimed at moving HD broadcast content.

The network--SABER--is intended for occasional-use transmissions from remote operations where fiber connectivity may be limited. In such cases, first-mile transmission can be made via satellite and handed off to a Genesis fiber network for global distribution. Setup can be arranged over the phone, according to Genesis.
