MLB May Play It Again, Sam

by TVB Staff | July 17, 2008
Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig said the sport may introduce instant replays in time for playoffs, according to the Detroit Free Press. The league is looking at ways to use replay technology to help umps review their calls. The Freep said three missed home run calls in May inspired the MLB to reconsider the use of the instant replay technology.

Selig said once the “bugs” were worked out, instant replays would be used on a limited basis—primarily to settle disputed calls.
