Sinclair Standardizes on Kahuna

by TVB Staff | April 30, 2008
Hampshire, U.K. switcher concern Snell & Wilcox said Tuesday that Sinclair stations would be standardizing on its Kuhuna switchers. Sinclair Broadcast Group, based in Hunt Valley, Md., will install Kuhuna SD/HD multiformat production switchers as it transitions local stations to HD news production. Sinclair has 58 stations, though not all have news operations and some share.

Snell & Wilcox said initial deployments will occur in ABC, CBS and Fox stations in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.
